Why do you need to cite sources?

Citing sources is important because:

  1. It gives credit it to the people who did the research or came up with the ideas. Without the citation, using their work is plagiarism.

  2. It allows others to verify the information and judge whether the source is reliable.

  3. It is worth 10% of your final research project mark!
