In the spirit of helping area seniors remain in their homes as long as possible with independence and autonomy, Orchard View Long Term Care has developed a Transportation for Seniors initiative.
The service consists of:
Bi-weekly trip to Oromocto and Fredericton with the Facility’s bus. The trip typically takes place every second Wednesday leaving Orchard View at 9 am and returning by 2:30 pm. Stops include Sobeys, Giant Tiger, Pharmacy, bank and other places requested by the passengers
Volunteer driver service – a number of members of the community have volunteered to use their own vehicles to transport area seniors to medical or other appointments on an “as needed” basis
There is no cost to use this service.
To book a seat on the bus or to arrange a specific drive with a volunteer please call: Stacey Seeley at 488-3582.
