The Youngs Cove United Church was built in 1860 - 1861, opening, it is believed, June 9, 1861, at a cost of £300.

From 1861 - 1925, the Church was known as the Wesleyan Chapel, a Methodist Church.

Until 1967, the Church was part of the Grand Lake Charge, comprised of seven churches: Cumberland Bay, Coles Island, Youngs Cove Road (worship took place in the hall), Whites Cove, Narrows and Lower Jemseg. The parsonage was located at Youngs Cove.

Cumberland Bay, Whites Cove, Youngs Cove Road and Lower Jemseg Churches closed in 1967 when the charge was amalgamated with Gagetown, forming the Gagetown - Grand Lake Charge. The Coles Island Church closed on December 12, 1999.

The Church is maintained by the members and those who have strong family ties to our church.

The Church is located at the head of Youngs Cove, which is part of Grand Lake, Route 105.
